Born from the island's heavy religious influence, the proposed logo seeks to represent the very grounds on which the vineyard's grapes grow. The STP abbreviation of Saint Pierre contains symbolism of religion with the cross as well as of Quebec itself with the Fleur-de-Lys.
The icon takes the shape of the island, rotated vertically to represent a wine bottle and then flattened to six edges, one for each municipality on the island.
